I really don't like
surprises at all. Because home ownership is one of the largest assets in your portfolio you probably
want a WELL PLANNED and WELL RESEARCHED real estate transaction. You
want a transaction where you know what your options are and you want a transaction where you understand the legal contracts that you are signing.
Real estate has changed
in the last ten years. Whether you are buying or selling, the events of a real estate
transaction have changed. On the buy side, the challenge of getting financed will
be a longer, more paper-intensive procedure.
On the sell side, it is a longer process
with the possibility of a deal or two falling apart at the last moment due to loan
commitment. On the sell side also a well staged house in almost perfect condition
is what is expected outside of investment property. This certainly has changed.
Choosing a Realtor, like choosing
a home should also be a thoughtful process. I don't believe people choose a Realtor,
Doctor, Attorney, or hair stylist without references. I work 100% by referral. I
